Dr. Davenport

I'm a current and qualified Command F-16 Instructor Pilot with the Texas Air National Guard.  Many of my colleagues and friends are commercial airline pilots.  I'm a civilian physician (M.D.), residency trained in both Internal Medicine and Aerospace Medicine.  I received Aerospace Medical training with NASA at the Johnson Space Center, supporting Shuttle and Soyuz launches.  I'm a USAF rated flight surgeon.  I have a Master's degree in Public Health.  My passion is aviation medicine and my goal is to keep you flying!

I'm an FAA Senior AME / HIMS AME and offer every service you could need right in the convenience of the office.

Dr. Chen

Dr. Andy Chen is an FAA Senior Aviation Medical Examiner and Board Certified Emergency Physician. He rotated with the Wright State University Division of Aerospace Medicine in Dayton, Ohio during his residency training. Dr. Chen enjoys serving the pilot community, and he has been an FAA Aviation Medical Examiner since 2015.

Dr. Chen is available for Class I, II, and III Medical Certificate examinations.

Dr. Gordon

Dr. Gordon practiced Family and Sports medicine for 30 years and is Board Certified in Family Practice with and added qualification in Sports Medicine.  He has been a designated Federal Aviation Senior Aviation Medical Examiner for almost 20 years.
He is a private pilot and is FAA designated to provide Class 1, 2 and 3 F.A.A. medical examinations.  He is an H.I.M.S. trained A.M.E. and has had over 200 total cases.

He is the Aeromedical Advisor for Jet Blue Airlines and reviews special issuance cases for Harvey Watt, pilot insurance company.
He knows how important flying is to you and his objective is to have you leave the office with your FAA flight medical certificate in hand.

Color Vision Expertise

Color Vision Deficiency is COMMON: 1 in 12 men have some degree of color vision deficiency.

We have THREE SEPARATE screening tests to optimize your chances of meeting the FAA color vision requirement!
  1. Optec 2000/2500 Vision Machine
  2. DVORINE* Isochromatic Plates
  3. Ishihara Isochromatic Plates

* Anecdotal data suggests that pilots may be able to pass the DVORINE plates even after having failed other common screening tests.  Come and see for yourself!
